Private Instruction

  My name is Rebecca Gilpatrick and as the owner of The Choctaw Ranch I have over 20 years of experience with horses ranging from starting wild horses to teaching tricks  (fun for the horse and great for his mind!) to finishing horses in high level maneuvers such as Spanish walk and piaffe. What I now enjoy most is extreme trail riding and teaching the principles of suppleness and balance for you and your horse. These principles help to remove the "fight" from your horse, making it easier and more fun to work with him. It will also improve your horse's gaits and movements which lends itself to keeping your equine partner sound and happy. These principles are effective across all disciplines including dressage, western riding, gaited horses and trail riding and add much to the joy of riding for both you and your horse.

 Lessons are $50/ hour for a private lesson. I also offer a 3 hour group lesson for 3 to 4  riders for $50 each/lesson.
